Cloud Authentication Authorization

Authorization for individual users must be granted to the Send to Microsoft 365 SharePoint connector and/or the Send to Microsoft 365 Exchange connector to access the user's Microsoft 365 repository. This authorization is also required for Google Drive.

Multi-tenant support is available for Microsoft 365 Sharepoint and Microsoft 365 Exchange Connectors only.

For Microsoft authentication, the following procedures are required:

  1. Register a client application created within the Entra ID Portal and provide required information to be used for individual user authorization. For details, refer to the manual for the Entra ID Portal.

  2. Configure items in [Workflow] → [General] → [Cloud Authentication Settings]. Refer to To Configure Cloud Authentication below.

  3. Each user should authorize the connector to access Microsoft 365 repository using the User Console. For instructions, refer to "Authorize Access to Cloud Repository" in the Streamline NX MFP User Guide.

  4. If a user modifies Cloud Authentication Settings after synchronization of a workflow profile containing Send to Microsoft 365 SharePoint, operate as follows to reflect the modification.

    • When the workflow containing Send to Microsoft 365 SharePoint/Send to Microsoft 365 Exchange is a login user workflow:
      • Modify the configuration of the workflow containing the Send to Microsoft 365 connectors in the Management Console, and then synchronize the workflow profile.
      • Authorize the account from the User Console again.
    • When a proxy user workflow already exists:
      • Access the workflow containing Send to Microsoft 365 connectors in the Management Console to authorize the proxy user again, and then synchronize the workflow profile.

To Configure Cloud Authentication

  1. Click [Workflow] → [General] → [Cloud Authentication Settings].

  1. To accommodate more than one tenant, you can use the +Add button on the Cloud Authentication Settings screen to add a new instance of either Microsoft 365 or Microsoft 365 -Proxy. If only configuring a single tenant, click [Microsoft 365] or [Microsoft 365 - Proxy] from the Application name list. This applies to Microsoft only, and does not apply to Google Drive.

When [Login User] is selected as the authentication method for the Send to Microsoft 365 connectors, configure [Microsoft 365].

When [Proxy User] is selected as the authentication method for the Send to Microsoft 365 connectors, configure [Microsoft 365 - Proxy].

  1. On the [General] tab, configure the authentication settings:

    [Cloud Authentication Settings] are not available for admin OpenID Connect profiles.

    • Google Drive or Google Drive Proxy: Acquire the verification information necessary for Google Drive linkage from the Google Developers Site. To acquire a JSON file to be uploaded, register a Google application and create an OAuth client ID first follow the procedure. Refer to Google Drive Cloud Authentication Settings.

    • Microsoft 365 or Microsoft 365 - Proxy: Configure the Microsoft Entra ID service to allow the Microsoft 365 SharePoint connector to access the Microsoft 365 repository. Refer to Microsoft 365 Cloud Authentication Settings.

  2. Click [Save].
